New to Intel - Need cooler recommendation please

I have always owned AMD CPUs and stock coolers. Just bought an Abit IP35 Mobo and an E2180 that I want to OC. There seems to be quite a few popular "passive" coolers. Are fans necessary? Can anyone give me an idea on where to start with a cooling solution....thanks!

Yes if u want to OC, definitely get a new cooler for your CPU, coolers like TUNIQ TOWER, THERMALRIGHT ULTRA 120 are pretty good coolers

I think fans are very important and that unless you are underclocking (or live in Siberia) you shouldn't use passive cooling on something as vital as the CPU. I know it's not a CPU, but take a look at Sparkles passive cooled 8800GT... it's not even OC'ed and hit peaks of 109C. :O
