I'm thinking of getting a GA-P35-DS3L to go with my Q6600 (GO stepping). I will have tons of A/C cooling (ie. Thermalright Ultra 120+, and P182 case).

My goal would be to run it at 3.6Ghz stable 24/7, in sync with my Patriot ram (6400).

Is this realistic?

Any experience with this board would be appreciated!

Thankyou for you time.

I finally decided on a GA-P35-DS3R. It costed $40 more then the DS3L, but the new "Ultra Durable II" stuff and larger Northbridge heatsink sold me.

Sure, the Ultra Durable II might just be marketing, but many reviews on this motherboard have been very positive.

I know the DS3L should be able to reach 3.2Ghz stable, but I really want to push for 3.6Ghz 24/7, so that my ram runs in sync (1:1) with the FSB.

Wish me luck, I will be putting it together next week, mid week. I will post my experience here soon after.

Thankyou all for your help!

I have a q9300 and a DS3L, and without any voltage increase i managed 370 fsb, with voltage increase 400+ fsb, but i havent tested the limits with overvoltage. If you are overclocking especially with a quad you need some serious nb heatsink. I wish i had go for the DS3R (because 6 phase cpu voltage vs 4 ds3l, and better nb heatsink)
