So I couldn't get RAID to work when I was first building my system. The OS is installed on a 250G HD that'll remain as is. I have two 500G HDs that I want to make a RAID 1 array.

Will I lose anything on the 250 if I do a repair install?

How do I get the drivers onto the usb stick so vista will see it? (This was my main problem before)

Motherboard is a gigabyte ds3p if that helps

I have a dg dsr3 mainboard and vista 64 can already see the raid array so you may not have to install the drivers. My board has both gigabyte raid and intel raid on board. If I was you I would stick the single disk on the gigabyte controller and the array on the intel controller.

Yeah there was the problem. Vista couldn't find the drivers in it's own disk. Very good chance of operator error by that point though. Very frustrating to say the least.
