I have 3 x 320GB drives with 2 operating in RAID 0 for the performance boost.

The 3rd drive is for back-up of critical data on the RAID 0 and reserve storage.

Thanks everyone, i thought that game/app would work better at the raptor because of the better access time.

So you guys recommend game/apps at the raid 0 instead? :)

Try getting a utility like HD Tune and compare the performance of your Raptor with the RAID 0 you have.

Access time is only part of the picture and when loading several hundred megabytes of game data outright transfer rates make the most difference.

Thanks to pointing that out Maximus_Delta and Hatman (about apps, games, large amount of data would fit better at raid 0).

My setup would remain like these then:

1x Raptor for OS
1x RAID 0 (2x7200.10) for game/apps/etc
1x 7200.11 for important data (isolated from RAID 0 just in case :D)

I guess its ok?
