IP Address Blocking While Using Torrents

Hey guys and gals,

I got caught downloading torrents. I now want to hide my IP address while downloading and tried using Google to find out how to do this. The problem I am having is that all of the information I'm finding is from 2008 or earlier and I am concerned that it will be outdated. I found the following link:

The information in this post seems pretty legit, but again, it's from 2008. Are these still the best options for staying anonymous?
