Im putting together a new machine that is intended entirely for gaming. Will an 8800 GTS 320 or 640 do ANYTHING AND EVERYHING on a 19" widescreen in games like Crysis and whatnot? I mean above 40 fps on any setting imaginable.

Also, the monitors I am looking at have max res of 1440 X 900. what should I use as close comparison on the performance charts as I never see that res?

I can't speak of 1440 x 900 resolution. However, I can shed some light regarding 1280 x 1024 with an 8800 GTS 320 MB. Works great with 4AA 8AF on all games I have tried, including world in conflict, bioshock, supreme commander, FEAR, and other games. If you're open to a different video card, may I suggest an HD x2900 PRO?
