3DMark Score

Hi all... I am a bit new to this OCing so please bare with me. I have OCed my pc a while back when i first built it and it has been very stable at its settings so far.i recently got 3dmark06 and i think my score is low...I have my cpu clocked a 2.4gh at 1.32v with mem at 667 at 810 2.1v.I mostly curious about the cpu score since i only scored a 1890 and the whole score itself was 4880.Does this sound normal to you or do i need to tweak my pc?

better than mine i got 3864 total but my cpu gets 2339 but i have a crappy 8500gt

ya that what i cant figure out..my cpu only gets 1890 and it oced to 2.4..
shouldn't a X2 3800 be hight than that?

What graphics card are you running? The gpu is the biggest player in 3dmark scores. A good way to compare your cpu to others is to look at the charts that 3dmark has allowing you to compare how well your cpu performs compared to other 3800 x2's.

I believe your score is just about right compared to the OC 4800. Your about 450 CPU points under but then again your are about 600Mhz slower. So it seems about right. YaY I get to brag, my $90 E2180 @ 3Ghz gets around 2545 points! Altough I'm a bandwagon boy because I went from 2 previous computers using AMD and ATI cards (XP 2000 to 64 +3400, and ATI 8500 PRO to 9800 PRO) here I am using a E2180 with a 8800GT. My how the tables have turned. My full detailed 3DMark06 scores are in my config.

just bult my new rig yesterday.
AMD x2 5000+ BE (2.91ghz)
2GB ddr 800
ati 3850 (@740mhz / 999mhz)

did 9340 in 3dmark06
and just for fun... 31,350 in 3dmark03. quite a step up. my 2600+ single core with a geforce 6800 only did 9666 .

i get 2439 with a 6000 at 3.4GHZ (340x10) and a HT of 1700MHZ

Yes, I call shinanigens.

Maybe, just maybe, you could break 8-9k with a 6800 ULTRA. An XT is a gimped 6800, and if Im not mistaken it is the worst in the series.
