Hi. How are you trying to connect,wirelessly? Try using your ethernet cable plugged into the router from the laptop. Did you get an install disc from your ISP. If so connect with the cable and then run the disc.
Error 10 is a pretty generic error and can be any of your hardware. Have you looked in Device Manager for errors? Easy to get drivers to the laptop, just download at another computer and copy the drivers to the laptop using a USB stick/CD/DVD/externa hard drive.
