Just installed a Hermalright HR-03 Plus 8800 for GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB, Yet IDLE and LOAD temp have increased, worse than stock cooler.

Ive installed the cooler, so that that the cooler is behind the GPU chip (setup type 2 i believe) due to system setup. I followed idiot proof instructions carefully etc, Made sure fan was on right way etc, RAM sinks all installed covered properly, HSI installed etc.

The only thing that i can possibly think it being is that i used to much thermal paster perhaps? Or maybe the installation type 2 isnt cooling as effectively if i had installed other way?

Any Suggestions would be great as i got this to COOL, thinking that it would be better than the stock which from all reviews / comments it should. ANyone know where i could have possibly gone wrong / advice.

Tomorrow im going to reinstall, clean up thermal paste, clean reapply, install type 1, see if this makes any difference.

Anyways any advice wud b appreciated. Info below
