I really want to play crysis, while I would love eye candy I cannot upgrade my pc right now. Do you think I would be able to play on low settings?

I am currently running AMD 3500 (s939), 1gb PC3200 corsair CAS2.5, 7600GT.

PS. If anyone have an old AMD x2 3800 (s939) or better & another 1gb or ram I would gladly take that off your hands!!

Medium settings is a bit to take as well. I ran the demo on med settings running on a 7800GT card and the game struggles. High settings forget about it, wasn't happening. Low settings ran a bit smoother but i felt like i was desecrating such a great game on low settings, lol. My 8800GTX machine is close to being complete so i guess i'll wait till i have her up 100%.

I am going to be able to do a SMALL upgrade on Black Friday. I have about a $300 budget. My plan was to get P35 DS3L, E2140 (OC it), Billstix 2gb pc6400.

I could spend all $300 on a new video card but why do that when I will bottleneck at my CPU, and RAM.

not to burst your bubble or anything but the beta is set to medium regardless what settings you set it on video settings. they did this so the public beta tester wont see the full effect of the game until they actually purchase the game. only the internal beta testers can change the res and settings of the game. internal beta testers are actual people that helped develop the game.i know this because i know no were in hell can my system run this on max settings @1680x1050, im on a 8800gts 320mb oc to 667/1051. i run it @ 90fps( but its set to medium by defult no matter what i do on the options settings.)

Well it is going to run on a 2 year old pc but as Crysis CEO said it will still be demanding even in 1 year from now

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/25036.html

wait when it ends then it should load another Crysis video automaticly which is
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/25063.html
It tell us more about objectives in the game.
And later it should load
http://www.gametrailers.com/player/25011.html
and if you have continous play space checked it will do that untill you or your computer die :p

Personaly i would like to play it next year on the new quad core cpu with dual 8800 or 9x series. It should fully use games possibilities on that rig.

Enjoy :D
