Looking for some insight on my PC that crashes shortly after booting it up, or even during windows startup. It simply powers off, no BSOD or error codes to go off of. First, this is a Dell Inspiron 5105 laptop, Windows 7 machine. I have 4G RAM, 250G HD. Let me know what other specs are relevant. I've tried to resolve the problem by doing to following: re-apply thermal compund to CPU, replace RAM and run memory test by booting from disk, run diagnostic from boot menu and boot in safe mode. All of these result in the same crash scenario shortly after turning on the PC. I cant find anywhere in the BIOS that shows the CPU temp. Is there a way to monitor the temp that I am not aware of, via command prompt perhaps? I figure this is a hardware issue, but I dont know how to diagnose. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!!
