Hi ALL,

after downloading security update from microsoft ( MS10-013 ) and having to reformat after numerous crashes, I now find that my system does not recognise that the sound card is installed ?

you may lost your sound card..
get any in of Linux distributions like UBUNTU & check your sound card.. if there's no issues in hardware it will automatically install it..

hi, try to download and install ac97 audio driver for xp i think it will work

This thread is a couple months old.....

If it's a soundcard, and not onboard sound, you would get the driver from the soundcard manufacturer.
