Overclocking - no game benefit? My benchies

Hi all,

Very unusual results, my observations:
1) The hit to ram speed (using the recommended 1:1 ratios or 2 multiplier) on overclocks takes a noticeable hit on games. I had to adjust the multiplier to get my RAM speed back up to 800mhz.

2) While benching, FEAR and Cyrsis rarely went above 60% CPU usage (even at stock frequency). While I expected this with FEAR (since it is not really multi-core optimized), I was shocked by Crysis's low usage of my CPU.

3) I was very disappointed with the results overall (especially Crysis medium settings).

My test setup:

e4300
2GB 6400 (800mhz) DDR2 Ram (4-4-4-12 timings)
8800 GTS 320MB
1680 x 1080 res
Vista 64

Here were my results:

1) Crysis low settings
-Baseline of e4300@1.8 stock = 51.56 FPS
-33% OC to 2.4ghz w/ 2 memory multi = 55.91 FPS (8% benefit)
-33% OC to 2.4ghz w/ 2.66 memory multi = 58.31 FPS (13% benefit)
-50% OC to 2.7ghz w/ 2.66 memory mutli = 67.4 FPS (31% benefit)

2) Crysis Med settings
-Baseline of e4300@1.8 stock = 29.26 FPS
-33% OC to 2.4ghz w/ 2 memory multi = 29.8 FPS (2% benefit)
-33% OC to 2.4ghz w/ 2.66 memory multi = 31.9 FPS (9% benefit)
-50% OC to 2.7ghz w/ 2.66 memory mutli = 33.27 FPS (13.7% benefit)

3) FEAR Max settings
-Baseline of e4300@1.8 stock = 56.66 FPS
-33% OC to 2.4ghz w/ 2 memory multi = 45.25 FPS (-20%!! )
-33% OC to 2.4ghz w/ 2.66 memory multi = 59.67 FPS (5% benefit)
-50% OC to 2.7ghz w/ 2.66 memory mutli = 64.67 FPS (14.1% benefit)

I'm still a little green to OC'ng, so go easy. Any advice or thoughts, thanks!
