I have a question: I've never owned a laptop so just curious if after getting one it's possible to upgrade a laptop, can I just swap CPU for a more powerful one, example change T7100 with T7900 ?

Thanks

Yes, 99% of the time you can, all it would require is a bios/firmware update.
However the thermal design of the heatsink in your particular lappy may not be able to handle the higher output of the better processor.
