Ok i followed this guide to increase the voltage of my 8800 GT through the bios. The guy said it worked for him.. when i did it however i noticed that my video card now artifacts at the clocks i had it before, before the volt mod. How could more voltage cause a video card to artifact. Has anyone else tried this volt mod or know a better one?

Eeh, do the hard volt mod, It's cake really if you know how to solder (I've modded PS2/Xbox's). All it essentially is, is a 10kohm pot and 2 wires.

I personally put very nice aftermarket cooling on my GT and I'm being limited purely by not enough voltage.(I havent seen it go over 57C even after 15 minutes of ATI scanning). By doing this you can get from what I have read anywhere from 777-900Mhz core.. I hope to hit 800 core. @ 900 Vcore seems to high/scary. At least now I'll get my $$$ worth from the new cooling.
