Hi,
I made RAID5 with a total of six 750 GB segate sata2 disk on intel ich9r chipset. But before initialization process finish(i takes 10 hours), i write some data on the raid volume, restart the system for many times and so on.. But intialization is still continue(3 hpurs left). By using the raid volume before initializaiton has finished, did i make something wrong, is this cause a future problem on the raid volume. I will use this system for the storge of very important data. So I'm a little worry about it.. thx for any replies...

Nope, you're fine. Right now, parity is being initialized. During this process, you can safely use the new volume and reboot without any ill consequences.

Agree with rockchalk - right on the money.

All it did was slow the initialization process down while it striped that data you added to the array.
