Anyone wanna take a shot at guessing comparing requirements of 2900xt and other mid range cards? considering it is using 55nm process, i would say 400W PSU with 18 amps on 12V

No way in hell.

At best I would say it will consume no less than 140w under full load by itself. That means 11.67 amps just for the 2950XT if it were to be clocked at the same speed as the 2900XT.

Also, 55nm process is incorrect. It will be based on the 65nm process and will likely be clocked higher than the 2900XT so I'm sure that my 140w estimate is on the low end.

Almost everyone is saying that it is 55nm...but I have saw a small percentage of sites report 65nm. Which is it? Have any links?
Thanks...well, I guess it doesn't matter what process it is...if it draws less power, runs cooler, and is just as fast or more, that's great, whatever!

I believe it's 55 nm. They were originally planning to do 65nm but switched to 55nm from all the sources I've read. While nvidia will stick with 65nm...They are both being produced at TSMC. TSMC Also has a 55nm production capabilities..so it could be true. But it has been a rumor. Overall I think it will come to be though....But time will tell.

Well 2950-series has two different models, namely Gladiator and revival.

Just rumours again but check this table
http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php? [...] &Itemid=34

Gladiator (RV670 XT) has 135W TDP
Revival (RV670 Pro) has 105W TDP
2950X2X (Dual card 2xRV670 chips) about 200W

2950X2X:

and some other related links (RV670).

Sorry about so many fudzilla(a rumour mill) links but this is all that I know.
