overclock gateway laptop m-6824

I couldnt afford to build my own laptop
so I bought a gateway m-6824
c2d t5250
3 gb of ram

can I overclock it?
with some program

of course the bios is locked

can I upgrade to an E6850 later?

no bro, its a whole different socket. the 6850 is 775, the one in our laptops are the 479 or 478 special doodad one. you could go with any t7xxx series, or the brand new t8100, t8300, t9300 series chips. 45nm with 3mb or 6mb l2. not bad eh? but they are expensive!! check it out, this is what wil fit your laptop.

but for overclocking with software, its possible, i cannot figure out what ic chips are on the board, so its difficult to control if you are speaking the wrong language. hope it helps, im a few months too late tho.
