Currently I have an E6750 with a Hyper TX-2 Cooler attached. It is clocked at 3.28, but I can go farther. My question is should I? I think my overclock is pretty good already and i want longevity too. Also, how long would my current cpu overclocked that high last?
There is no true anwser to your question on longevity. Each cpu is different. I would expect a "stock" intel cpu to last 5-8years, depending on how much you use it. If you leave your pc on 24/7, I would say 4years.
Now if you overclocked it, I would guess 3-5years.
Those settings are fine, you don't need to go any further unless you really need it.
