My friend needs a new cooler for an E2140 CPU that he plans to OC. The thing is, he has a microtower case, and doesn't have enough in his budget to get a decent midtower.
So, I was wondering, would the Freezer 7 Pro fit in a microtower case? I've seen a review where it fit on a mATX board, but there was no mention of how well it would fit in a micro case.
I've checked the dimensions of the cooler, and it seems it's about 12.5cm high. I've asked my friend to measure out his case, but he hasn't gotten around to doing it yet.
I'd appreciate any input on this.
Also, in case it does not fit, could you recommend a good, inexpensive and fairly quiet CPU cooler that will?

Thanks in advance.

It's hard to say, but your friend is using the intel stock cooler right? You can try comparing heights with the Arctic Freezer.

Most good coolers are pretty tall. Maybe the Zerotherm butterfly?

Dunno if your friend like butterflies...

This is the one I personally have:

It's probably the best "shortest" cooler out there. Might take up the whole mobo though.

That GeminII cooler looks interesting.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be sure to keep it in mind.

I'd appreciate any input from anyone who has an AC Freezer 7 Pro, as well.
