How can i test my viedo card to see if its bad

My Computer will randomly freeze for no apparent reason its not after long extended period of use or high graphical demanding content. i replaced a ram stick a week ago it helped for like a week then it started doing it again. could it be my graphics card? if so how can i test it to see if it is my graphics card.

  1. One way is to ask a friend to try it on his/her computer. If a friend says yes, uninstall their video drivers, download the drivers for your card to his/her HDD, shut-down, disconnect computer power cord, ground yourself, install your card, reconnect power cord, restart the computer, boot into OS, install the drivers you just downloaded, and run it - a good excuse to play a game?
