long term gaming rig..

Hi guys,

I wanted to build a gaming rig with an OK performance and upgrade into today's high-end machine.
So basically i dont have a lot of money and i dont mind waiting. I think im going to buy a powerful MOBO now like an asus striker extreme, and then in a years time buy a Quad Q6600/Core2Duo E6850 and 2 8800GTX.

Any suggestions?

Don't buy now. Save your $ and buy all at the same time. There will be better mobo's/cpu's/memory/etc. out if your waiting to upgade/rebuild in a year. If your building soon, I can help you out, but if not than wait to buy stuff later. Most online shops only allow 30 days return, so you'll never know if your part you order now and use in a year is good. Thus you spend all of your $ now and hope that it'll work in a year (not a good idea).
