Hey, basically my first time building a system from scratch and was wondering if anyone could give me some advice if I chose the right parts and at what price they should be available at. I found these items on NewEgg but I live in Canada and they don't ship there... If anyone knows a good store that would be great, I tired ncix and Tigerdirect and they were both more expensive especially with the Canadian dollar being 1 usd. Are there any cheap stores in the states that ship to canada???? Anyways heres my parts list:

I don't know if you read the news from CBC about the dollar parity, but you can't get your dollar's worth regardless. The only way is to shop in the u.s, but then the border/custom will charge you import fee on top of taxes. That's a deal breaker. Walk in any Best Buy or Future Shop & look at the video game/computer price tags. The SAME AS BEFORE!!!

So the cheapest way is still shop locally. I'd order it from ncix.com & price-match as many items as possible to

http://www.directcanada.com/

which has lower prices on most items.

The evga 680i supports true x16 sli:

http://evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?pn=122-CK-NF68-A1&family=20

$350 for 2 gigs? Might as well charge $3000. Average PC2-6400 2x1gb price is $65 US after rebate. This is very good ram:

http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=24641&vpn=BL2KIT12864AA804&manufacture=CRUCIAL%20TECHNOLOGY

I have no idea if that 650w will power 2 gtx cards. Any of these psu's is guaranteed to work with sli:

http://www.slizone.com/object/slizone_build_psu.html

You haven't listed a hard disk. At least a 320gb sataii.

Oh yea, by the way, what's your monitor resolution? That'll help determine what video card to get. And what games do you play?

ncix has better stock. DC says only in stock or not. Also, I registered with DC, but they said my address is "wrong" which narrows down to the spelling of my city. I used the same address to register with ncix, it was fine. I've been ordering from ncix since. The only beef I have with ncix is prices - usually higher than dc's.

ncix, dc & nxsource are supposedly the same company. why? Best Buy owns Future Shop & keeps it running. Choices, I think. The point is to price match. ncix will price match.

http://www.nxsource.com/contact/

ncix has a "forum" for each product. you can ask questions before buying.

32-bit is better supported in terms of drivers & software. most apps are non-64-bit. 32-bit sees up to 3.5gb of ram. 64-bit sees more than 4gigs.

If you can the 64-bit from ms, but I don't know the extra cost for shipping. Vista Ultimate has both 32 & 64 bit.
