windows 7 start button missing. How do I get it back?

What happens when you do?

do you get the bar at the bottem shoving you icons as well?

if not then you can type (hold "start" and presss "R")
type in explorer.exe

see if it apears if not let us know (if this works something is crashing the process or its corupted/damaged
