So I've finished building my new PC... In the BIOS, I've checked that all my disks, drives and processor etc are all detected, as well as checking the temperature is ok... i've then booted windows via the cd, and set it all up...

I'm worried that there is a problem though because it doesnt seem to run super smoothly like i'd hoped... for example just a simple thing like moving/dragging a window across the screen doesn't really go as quickly as it should considering the spec... in fact thats the main thing i have noticed... the window doesnt just move, it takes about 2 seconds to reappear...
Is there anything i should have done in the BIOS or Windows settings? Has anyone got any ideas why this might be happening?

Thanks in advance!

Wasn't it the DX? Isn't that the one with the Math Co-processor? Did it have the "Turbo" button pushed on it?

Sounds like a vid card problem, be it drivers or hardware. Have you installed your vid card drivers yet? Are they updated? Maybe make sure your card is seated properly.
