I let Avanquest's Driver Genius update my system with "newer" versions of drivers available for my system. Windows XP would not boot properly afterwards...Hangs up at NTLDR not found. Put in Windows XP disc to replace corrupted or missing files. Laptop runs now but is really slow, appears that there is a whole lot of other stuff missing. I want to wipe the drive and start over, but it appears that by reinstalling the disc I've created a partioned disc where files exist but are not accessible, folders are there, but empty. I don't care about the info as it is easily replaceable. Just want to return it to day one.
