I am designing a new system for a friend and I would like to know if all the parts I chose for him are compatible or if there are better deals out right now, I am sort of at the spending limit, if there is some extreme difference to be had for 50 bucks, then maybe it will be worth it but otherwise stay at the same price

Would this be a better wifi card especially for the price (I might have to get one myself)?

What about this ram

He isn't planning on over clocking at the moment but if needed I will over clock as high as possible on stock voltage.

I'm looking at it. You're gonna overclock it for you? if not, you can use the stock hsf & cheaper ram.

8600GTS can be replaced with X1950PRO for less. The latter isn't very far behind the first in terms of performance:

While 20" has more space, what does he do on the pc? If gaming, the gpu is lagging. If no gaming at all, get an even lower end gpu.

Now you say overclocking possible, might as well get an e2140/60/80 & o/c it later. Save more $$$.

Yep, they're compatible.

The ram is a great deal performance wise and he already bought it.

I am not gonna overclock it until games and his programs start to get ahead of his processor but the after market heatsink is to help his pc stay quieter and cooler for the time being.

I was thinking of x1950pro because it outperforms in some cases but the lifetime warranties provided by many nivida companies are nice over 1 year ati warranties

As for the 20" he probably won't notice low details or lower resolution so that isn't and issue. It is primarily made for desktop productivity with some minor gaming.

As for the e21xx I want it to run fast until overclocking is needed and I am not sure how good those are by comparison
