How do I manually copy win xp to a new hdd

I had to replace my 20 gb hdd with a 300 gb due to fast fill up and win xp home sp3 will not complete the installation.
it reboots then goes right back to installation and starts all over again.
I can't get past the reboot.

have you touched any key when the machine gets rebooted after completing first phase installation .,,

if you want to use the xp from old HDD from new HDD the get hirens boot cd, and use norton ghost or acronics true image disk cloning utilities to clone your older HDD to new one
