nvlddmkm stopped responding

Anyone else getting this annoying error when gaming in Vista. I see a lot of forums with tons of people having this same issue but no one really has a fix yet.

I am not overclocking in fact I underclocked trying to fix the problem. I am surprised this forum didn't start a thread about this. It is rediculous how bad Vista is. It is not my hardware I even changed my motherboard and memory.

Some fixes include remove all signs of drivers within safe mode and reinstalling the drivers.

I need vista Sp1 bad.

I fixed the problem on my last pc and I will be testing to see if I can fix it on this one. Both pc's are running Vista. The last fix was a specific download for the graphics card. No re-installation just a new patch or update. I have noticed that ATI works with vista a lot better and if it was just luck that fixed the last one then I will probably switch to ATI instead of NVidia. If it does work then I will post the solution that worked for me in a new thread.
