Hey,

I have ordered a new pc with a new 250gb SATA 2 hd
I already have a 120gb IDE from my old pc

so the windows folder is on C:// on the IDE HD,
will i notice a difference in the windows (XP) speed if i reinstall the windows on the new SATA 2 since the SATA is a faster connection?
will i have problems/slower SATA if i connect both the IDE and SATA harddiscks?

thx

"will i notice a difference in the windows (XP) speed if i reinstall the windows on the new SATA 2"

No, you will not measure faster boot times with SATA2 vs. ATA unless the SATA HDD has more advanced cache, controller or NCQ features than the IDE drive it is replacing.

"will i have problems/slower SATA if i connect both the IDE and SATA harddiscks"

No.
