unlike the new 8800GT, the upcoming G92 8800gts will have a 2-slot cooler

It's clear that 8800GT will appear in the market in monday, 29th Oct. But maybe you are all thinking about the second G92 product: new 8800GTS.

According to the sources, the new 65nm 8800GTS will announce in Monday,19th Nov, a week later than 780i(12nd Nov). The price is CNY2299(~305 USD) .

It's known new 8800GTS will have 128 SP. But still no evdience about the core clock, memory clock and shader clock. The score we have earlier already prove that 8800GT can beat 8800GTS(old). And we believe the 65nm 8800GTS(new) will better than 8800GTX(old).

So please be awared of 29th Oct,and 29th Nov. And please remember the RV670 will be coming 15th Nov.

I thought NVIDIA said they weren't doing any new promotions for the new SKU?

Crysis comes out on Nov 17 I think...didnt someone at nvidia hint about a new card coming out when Crysis did? Or was that the 8800gt? Maybe 8900GTX? (No way it's 9800, that sucker's gotta be at least 6 months off...)

Man can not wait to see what the new 8800gts can do. I just hope the manufactures will come up with more creative designs for the coolers. Well then again if it is affective who cares about the looks?

Since it's a different GPU shouldn't they it have a different name? I just think that alot of people are going to have the G80 8800GTS and go buy a G92 8800GTS and try to put them together for SLI. Maybe it's just me but they should aught to call it the 8850GTS, or 8900GTS. Makes me wonder.

I agree, I think it would dumb on nVida's part to name it 8800GTS, 8850GTS would be much better suited to the occasion.

I heard the new 8800gts was just going to be the same old g80 core with 112 stream processors enabled instead of 96 like the current ones. This makes more sense, especially considering the lack of a name change for the new part, but I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I still doubt this wil be 65nm.. itll probably just be a normal 8800gts with 640mb memory, but have 112SP's.
