Oddly enough, the cheaper one supports etreme memory profiles, while the more expensive one does not. Seems like someone at Newegg may have mixed the pair up when pricing them out.

It seems they're both the same, so go with the cheaper one.

It means that it should be better for overclocking. Yes, the cheaper one looks to be better because of its apparent ability to oveclock better.

Sometimes people in the stocking and pricing make mistakes. It could also be that the better one is in good supply while the lessor one is nearly out, so they're trying to push the better one out the door. Who knows? Sometimes its not good to analyse things too much.

Tom's has had a previous infection. I've had a couple strange e-mails tonight as well, but I ignored them as random occurances. Maybe its time to update and run virus scans. If it happens again, file a report with the administration so they can look into it.

Are you interested in buying the memory or just curious about the price? The price is odd, but I wouldn't buy either. DDR3 is not worth it at this time unless you really just want the most up to date hardware. I would not buy it but that is my opinion.
