overclocking my dell Inspiron 1520

i have a inspiron 1520 with a 1.5 GHZ dual core processor with 1GB RAM i was wanting to overclock it to about 2.0 but i have no clue how.
any suggestions?

The one thing about an inspiron 1520 is that you first half to change the software for the bios chip because your bios doesn't support any overclocking software. Then you should try a verious of overclocking software that you can get free online because some overclocking softwares might not be for that brand of computer. After you found a working overclocking software then you can use speedfan which is a free program that is on line that tells you how fast your cpu is running at. Try to not go up to 3 GHZ because i destroied 1 computer before.

The only way is to use a software overclocking application, but I do NOT reccomend to overclock a laptop especially such a large overclock like that. They don't have very good cooling and can cause serious damage. Laptop's run relly hot and with overclocking it'll add even more heat.
