Hi guys,
Ok, so I have the following setup and problem:
Asus P5K Premium Motherboard
SATA WD Caviar 7500AAKS x2 in Raid 0 on Intel Matrix (both Red SATAII ports)
SATA Samungson DVD-RW (black SATAII port)
2 x 1GB Corsair PC-8500 RAM
Trying to do a first-time install (all brand new components); I set the SATA Raid array up in the bios, and create the Raid 0 stripe in Intel Matrix Rom. All fine.
Install Windows XP SP2 from original licensed CD. F6 and add ICHR8/9 drivers provided with Asus bootdisk on floppy (else I get a 0x07B BSOD).
Quick format Raid array to NTFS. Restart.
Windows GUI setup loads from HDs; all fine until it starts installing the drivers.
Then I get a Driver IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD with a 0x0D1 stop error attributing it to iaStor.sys.
This happens every time, and I can't complete the setup. Note the following:
- It's not the RAM; I've tested this elsewhere and it's fine
- Likewise, it's not the HDs or graphics card
- Makes no difference enabling/disabling Jmicron controller
- Makes no difference enabling/disabling Intel Robson technology
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rob
