hi,
didnt quite now where to put this topic, since it seems my whole computer (which is brand new, mind u) is falling down around me
This morning i noticed that i had the spyware (at least i think it was spyware) 'Windows Host Services'. So i decided to run my anti-spyware program to try to get rid of it (AVG anti-spyware, i tried to use Ad-Aware, but theres some bug that i cant install)
I left my comp on all day, as the full scan takes quite a while, and when i got home, it was on the bios screen saying 'missing operating system'
i freaked out a bit, but a quick search on my laptop said to run the repair on the vista disk and that would fix it.
So i did, and vista apparently found and fixed a problem, and then asked me to reset, which i did, only when i reset, the bios stopped detecting the hard disk at all!!!
I dont kno if all of those seperate events are linked, but if any1 has any ideas on how to solve this, it would be greatly appreciated
thanks in advance
matt

reseat all the cables for the drive and try again. If no go then see if another computer can see the drive. If that doesn't work then I would say the drive is DOA. RMA it for a new one.
