so let me know what you think of the system the only reason i did not get a 8800 is because of the 9800 nvidia's coming out

but i think this system should least me for a few years

Thanks :D

You might want to look into getting an EVGA card and you could step-up to another model within 3 months. For 2200 dollars I would think you would be getting a better video card.

i agree.. i just ordered the evga 8800 gtx yesterday and plan on using evga's step up program to get one of those 9800's. also if the new cards are not in stock you will be put on waiting list so as long as you send in your form within the 90 days you can still recieve the new card even past that period.

Get the P35 version of that mobo, not G33. Drop the sound card, you can always add it later if onboard sound doesn't satisfy you. Drop the Raptor. Get a $20 keyboard, for now. Get an 8800 GTS 320 or better. Never mind the 9800, their drivers will be useless. Even the 8800 drivers are still full of bugs 10 months after release.

$162 7.1 channel sound card driving a $150 5.1 channel surround-sound system......hmm; makes sense to me.
