More Information

Not sure if anyone can help. Here's my ticket to Auzentech (which remains unanswered):
I'm having a big problem with my Prelude. My microphone doesn't work while I'm in games such as World of Warcraft. At first, I had Ventrilo (a voice chat program) running in the background, and though I could hear others talking, my microphone would stop working some time between 1-5 minutes later. It was not recognizing that I even had a microphone. Now the game I was playing has built in voice chat and I am experiencing the same thing. It recognizes my microphone for the first few minutes but then it doesn't know that the microphone is there. I was having a similar problem with my onboard sound but fixed it by running both programs in Administrative mode. However, that has not fixed it with the Prelude installed. How can I fix this? Do I need to somehow make the drivers run in admin mode? Thanks

The 9/27 revision to the drivers has NOT fixed this.

By the way, I've been testing this a lot...it even stops working with Ventrilo being the only active process running. Looking at the logs, my microphone is being recognized fine, but is disappearing (to the program) after that, at which point I have to reset it to force it to reacquire it.
