Hi,

Maybe some one here can help me out here.

I just built a new PC and installed an ASUS 18X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black PATA Model DRW-1814BL
only I bought the OEM which came with no cords or Discs (obviously). I am having a difficult time finding the software for this device. I checked the ASUS website and couldn't find it.

Any one know where I can download some software to make this puppy work? Or maybe a free download from the opensource community?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Check out Imburn for Burning software and good lightscribe.  Lightscribe maybe a plugin and may not plugin to Imburn.  I'm using it with nero7.

There is no software for this from the Asus sight, depending on your location some vendors will bundle an OEM version of Nero with Lightscribe support. In your case, you will have aquire burning software, the Lightscribe software is available from the site http://www.lightscribe.com/

Nero or Roxio will support your drive. There is a free version that you can download for simple disc-burn/write feature which is sufficient to start with. Check with Cnet, Roxio or Nero.
