No for me. My xp has SP2 slipstreamed.

So if my XP cd comes with SP2 I don't need a sata driver? Are you positive?

I didn't need anything special when I installed XP. All of my drives are sata and installing XP (which has SP-2) wasn't a problem for me.

At the very least, try installing XP. If it doesn't work, you can get more help but I'm betting that you won't have any problems.

During install, positive. no drivers floppy. After install, you must install the drivers from the cd. Most importantly, the Intel chipset one.
