New mobo

I was just wondering what you think is the best mobo for ~$200. I don't need SLI or Crossfire but I will use Q6600 and a 8800GTX. No RAID is needed but I will use it for some modest overclocking (with a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme cooler). Thanks for any help.

Anything ASUS or Gigabyte with an Intel Chipset is somewhere to start.

The thing is any board in the $200 price point will be premium with extras. 9 out of 10 have either crossfire or sli. If you must get one with only 1 pci-e slot, the board will cost less.

For quad, I suggest P35.

ASUS P5K (don't bother with SE) or DELUXE
GIGABYTE DS3L (NO RAID)
ABIT IP35-E ($70 AFTER REBATE)

Any of above overclocks pretty well. If you want to upgrade to DDR3 down the road with the same board, look for a C in the name. i.e.

ASUS P5KC
GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R

I suggest going to newegg and comparing specs. Get the cheapest of these that has all the features you need:
