Replace Win 7 with XP

Hello,
I have an unopened XP Software. I recently jpurchased a new Dell PC which came with Win 7. However, I have run into many problems with 7 and would prefer to use XP. Dell tells me this is impossible. Does anyone have some suggestions. Thanks,

If Dell says it's impossible then you are likely to run into more problems withXP than Windows 7. Don't forget that it has nearly now reached end of service.
