Apparently the technology used to develop a device like this is comparable to IBM's Racetrack Memory. Soon people will be able to hold Tower Records in their hands. Read about this massive storage device here

Interesting. However I would stash my DVD collection on it and put it in an HTPC, not an MP3 player. It would take a year just to scroll thru 500TB worth of music selections :)

lol. 1TB of space on an mp3 would be PLENTY! Even on my computer I have only 280GB of storage space :P
