8800 GTX or 8800 GT 512mb in SLI? O_o. Either would cost about the same. What what would perform better? I just thought It would be interesting to compair.

the rule is always go with the best single card you can afford, will work for ya best every time. I personally have a SLI board but probably wont ever mess with 2 cards. My GTS 640 runs everything fine maxed settings at 1920 x 1200, every game so far. I think its not worth paying for a second card just for 10 or 15 more frames per second.

Let's not forget about heat generation and airflow issues when runing two cards.

Some games do not support SLi, One high performance card should be all you need.
