Well i just bought a new computer this past christmas with money i have been saving for a while now. I decided that i wanted to overclock the processor a little bit to squeeze some extra juice out of it since i have been hearing such great things about intels overclockability. Anyways heres my specs

e6750 @ 3.2ghz 8x400
gigabyte p35 ds3r
2gb patriot ram 44412 1:1
pc power and cooling 750w ps
tuniq tower 120 with silverstone 121 @ 110 cfm
6 case fans @ 110 cfm (yea its loud)
cmstacker 832
500 gb samsung hard drive

anyways here is a picture of my temps with while running orthos.

tests.jpg

Core temp says i am running almost 59 C and speedfan is saying around 34-40 this is at full load. Idle coretemp says around 30-32 and speedfan says around 18-20. Now i dont know which one to believe but those are big differences...and i dont know if it is coretemp rather than speedfan cuz if it is what did i do wrong? lol

ok i figured out what was wrong. I used three different programs, TAT, speedfan, and coretemp. Coretemp was off by some 15 degrees. This is what i was freaking out about. Apparently coretemp sometimes reads the wrong tjunction temp of the processor either 100 or 85. If it is not 100 and is 85 you should subtract 15 degrees off of that temperature. So everything is good now i am running orthos maxed out at 40C! UNBELIEVABLE!

I think you got that backwards. If I can see your screenshot you have CoreTemp 0.96 which is correctly reading your Tjunction max as 100 C. So you need to believe that and add 15 degrees C to SpeedFan 4.33.

But 56 C is just about what i get with almost the same setup running Orthos. How much voltage are you giving the CPU?

EDIT: Nevermind, I think I can make out 1.248V under Orthos load. Depending on your room temperature, your core temps seem in line.
