Hello,Just built new win7 system. needs files from old xp drive that was on system that fried . Drive is ok!

Just plug old XP HDD into the new system.

Is your old HDD SATA or IDE? If your Motherboard does not have IDE anymore, use
SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter (I have several drives and this one is great tool to recover data or transfer them via USB2 and is hot swap capable)
