Hi ok heres the situation

foxconn P6957MA MB
HIS HD 2600XT IceQ Turbo 256
western sata 2 HD
OEM Intel Quad Core Q6600 95watt G0 Stepping 4 x 2.40ghz 8mb Cache 1066 Fsb Quad Core processor
2gb 800 corsair ram
golden orb cooling

I want to play O/c but woried about the speeds I am at the mo using The fox one utility
When i wind the CPu up the ram mhz goes skyward eg
300 mhz cpu about 2.8 ghz ram 900 mhz odd, its set to auto on the bios and i have tried other settings but if i bring the ram back to 800 crash.
I sort of understand the ratio between fsb and ram with a 1066 the 800 should cope with it and still be at normal settings
any ideas or settings that do work ? yes i am a complete noob!!!!
cheers Gaz

Setting ram to fsb ratio to 2 (or 1) should help. Lowering voltages also should help, along with laxing timings.

Reading the guide here should clear a lot of things. It's a great guide written with a noob in mind ;)
