Is this a good/bad or average score for 3dMark the free version on my rig? I'm not sure my sli is working properly though as I get roughly the same score whether I enable or disable sli mode.

Dell Ultrasharp 3007WFP-HC 30" Widescreen LCD Monitor
Seems like I've seen single card scores with a 8800GTX/Core2Quad in that range....
Sounds like you have made some progress since this other thread you started where your score was 6006.

Speaking of which I'm thinking it may have been better for you to have continued updating in that thread so those who tried to help you and others who would read that thread while doing their own troubleshooting would know what fixed your problems.
I think it's about right, maybe a little off. But hey, if you're getting great frame rates in games...what does it matter?
Not good... you should be 15k+ with SLI'ed GTX's.
Idk how good you are with computers, so ill say the usual.
1. Enough power to them both? 2x PCI-E connectors for each is needed.
2. SLI Bridge attached?
3. Updated drivers?
Make sure the nvidia control panel is set to "Let application decide".
But I honestly doubt thats the problem, and I believe I know what is and the solution.

Make sure you install those hotfixes for Vista64. I got a feeling that will solve your problem.
EDIT: After reading past comments, you DO need BOTH of the 6pin connectors in BOTH cards for it to work. So tahts 4x connectors, your PSU has 3, so use a 2x molex to PCI-E adapter for the 4th one.
Mine is almost 13k with a single GTX, definitely something wrong.
it depends on which OS you're using.
under XP 3dmark06 gives over 15k
under Vista 3dmark06 gives around 13k
Just wondering, but is SLi enabled in the NVIDIA control panel?
Yeah vista will throw your score down a little, but I score a 11800 with a single 8800gts 320mb...in windows vista 64.
First thing I would recommend is linking your results to 3dmark06. Are you using the default settings?
Second, I would take out one graphics card at a time. See if they both get the same score...if one is dramatically lower than the other you know you have a card problem.
Third, is your processor stock? Overclocking will increase scores considerably with that setup.
Hope that helps.

I've heard this repeated a lot but in my experience it is simply not the case.
Back in May when I installed Vista my score went from 11827 to 11519. That was same hardware same settings and most current drivers at the time.
Maybe others have had different experience with other hardware but most hardware reviews I've also read are more in line with my experience.
I'm running vista x64 with 3dmarks 06, I'm sure that the problem is within sli. I would try those hotfixes that hatman posted.
Pull out one of those GTX's and re-run 3DMark, and post us your score... Something lowish going on still.
Hi guys - Actually those marks were on Windows XP 32-Bit. I have just installed Windows Vista 64-Bit again, patched up the hotfix drivers like Hatman said (thanks), and installed the latest nForce Beta Driver 163.75.
I have run 3dMark with both cards in and sli enabled and I got 11243. I then took one card out and run 3dMark and got 11315. I then took that card out and put the other one in its place and scored 11349.
So the cards seem ok, although the scores I think are quite low for one card and extremely low for both!!
I have put the 6-pin power cables into all four slots in both cards so I believe they're getting enough power, I hope...
Could perhaps my sli bridge not be working properly? But then surely it is working because when I switch on my computer with both cards in, a popup message tell me this machine is sli capable and asks me to enable it.
As you know I have two power slots for each of my gpus, but, I also have two sli bridge slots aswell... should I be linking these cards up with two bridges? I think not, but then I don't know what else to try.
I'm really lost...
Driver issue.Try the older drivers.
have the monitor cable plugged into the lower 2nd GPU, and having the SLI bridge pointing upwards, so you can read "SLI" fine. It doesnt need 2x bridges thats for tri-sli.
Idk if that would help, this situation is confusing.
It most certainly is confussing
I will try your suggestions, just need to finish what I'm downloading. Should I enable anything in the BIOS?
GPU-EX should be enabled. And obviously SLI should be enabled lol.
GPU-EX is enabled by default. I plugged the monitor cable into the bottom gpu card but when I powered on the machine there was no signal... Does this mean something?
I think that possibly it's something to do with my PSU so I'm going to oder this baby (Turbo Cool 1KW-SR 1000W Power Supply)
What do you guys think?
I'm sure I'll benefit having a 1000KW PSU in my rig
Here are VISTA 3DMARK06 scores :
http://futuremark.yougamers.com/fo [...] hp?t=33913
- 13,111 - Rush44 E6600 @3.55 GHz - 8800 Ultra
My score with two 8800GTXs was 16,427. But i now have two 8800Ultras and with a mild oc[ 3.2GHz] to myQX6800 I scored 17,554
Does the nividia control panel say that SLI is enabled? Also make sure your SLI bridge is pushed in all the way. Go into your windows control panel and under system make sure its showing both GTXs. You could also uninstalling your cards drivers and reinstalling them.Make sure your virus protection is turned off frist before you install the drivers.
How the hell did that guy overclock his Q6600 to 4.185, lol. He must have installed a fridge inside his computer. And he done very well with an ATI card. Thanks for the info btw.
Stan116, thanks for you information, was that on Vista?
Yes the SLI is enabled and the bridge is installed correctly. I've uninstalled reinstalled drivers and even reinstalled vista and xp to see the difference. It must be that damn psu.

Only 3.2 Ghz on TEC cooling?? Push that 'ish up!

Its pretty easy to get way up in the clocks with pretty advanced cooling such as phase, LN2, TEC+water, etc..
These are people just aiming to set records.
Ok guys - I have installed my new Turbo Cool 1KW-SR 1000W Power Supply. Unfortunately, it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference. I'm still getting 12 hundreds in 3DMark. So we've narrowed it down a bit. It's not my PSU and my cards work fine independantly. So logically to me... the only thing it can be is either the bridge or 16x pcie slot?
What do you think? Do you have any other ideas?

I think that someone is out to get you and doesn't want you running SLi, made any enemies lately? perhaps flaunting SLi'ed 8800's in their face?
