This is a really odd situation. I used to own this computer and when you "Shut Down" (not standby) the computer, everything is off.
But recently I handed the PC off to my bro and the only difference is that he now has an Nvidia FX 5200 instead of an ATI Radeon 9200 and a different 80 GB S-ATA.
When he turns off the computer, the case and CPU fan continue spinning. How come and how can I fix this as it makes a lot of noise.
its the mobo maybe when he changed the video card he broke the mobo - i am guessing. the mobo tells the psu when to power up and the bios tells the order
some psus have that functions. does the fans runs for few minutes and shuts down it self?? that is because the psu, that function is to cool down your parts
