HD3870 success !!!!!!!!!

Just flashed my Diamond HD3870 with the bios from mvktech and WoW.
clocked my card to 820 and ran 3dmark again with a 180 pt increase.
The big plus is the fan is 100% working now with the GPU.
The temp never passed 63 even at full load.
Was still super quite also in my CM 690 case.

All you HD38xx lovers goooooooo get it now.

Nice is that a 120pt increase over std bios @ 820?

When you say your fan is '100% working' do you mean the fan speed actually increases the hotter it gets after the bios flash?

180 points ontop of your overclock, or an extra 180 points versus stock?

The fan adjusts itself as the temp gets higher. I monitored it for 3 runnings of 3dmark. The fan speed is constantly changing. Still very quite. It never had to ramp up to over 60-70%... but then again the temps never went high enough to need it. I will try a higher clock around 900 to see what happens.

The 180 pts was from changing th the new bios and still 820 clock. So just the bios update and the fan working to keep the chip alot cooler made a nice difference.

Either way It cant/won't be seen in real-world gaming. But it proves it works.And the fan works right, seems to be a new trend of nvidia/ati.
