Hi I'm a noob at overclocking. I have a D975XBX2 motherboard with a E6600 processor and PC2-6400 Ram. I see the settings in the system bios that will allow me to overclock this motherboard etc. The processor has the stock cooling fan on it so I'm probably not gonna want to overclock it to it's extreme. Basically I want to learn the basics of overclocking, dable a bit to see what i can and can't do. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Rodger
I guess I misspoke I pull ed the package for the ram cus i thought the ram was faster than PC2-6400. I looked up the part number OCZ2N1066SR2GK which is suppose to be PC2-8500. That maybe a problem there CPU-Z reports PC2-6400 I'm guessing that might have something to do with processor speed or I haven't got something set right in the BIOS. Probably both. need to figure this out get the best performance I can. Thanks for any help you can give me. I hope that makes since I'm such noob at this...
